Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medical billing processes, primarily focusing on Medicaid claims and denial management. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing organization while working on-site in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Process and resubmit claims, with a focus on resolving Medicaid claim denials and ensuring proper coding. - Conduct detailed reviews of billing issues, identifying and correcting errors such as crisis codes. - Collaborate with internal teams to address claim discrepancies and improve billing accuracy. - Utilize medical billing software, including Kipu, to manage and track claims effectively. - Work on backlog claims, prioritizing timely resolution to support organizational goals. - Maintain compliance with Medicaid billing regulations and guidelines. - Communicate with payers to resolve outstanding issues and ensure proper reimbursement. - Monitor claim submissions and adjust workflows to improve efficiency. - Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures in all billing activities. - Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements within the billing department. Requirements - A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, with proven expertise in Medicaid claims. - Strong knowledge of medical coding, denial codes, and billing resubmissions. - Familiarity with medical billing software, such as Kipu, is preferred. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage large volumes of claims efficiently. - Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Experience handling crisis-related billing scenarios is a plus. - Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with payers and internal teams. - Candidates must meet all pre-employment requirements.
